Wood Fired Ceramics Co. is a traditional wood firing service connecting Canadian ceramic artists with experienced kiln masters in Jingdezhen, China. We focus on authentic high-temperature wood firing, natural ash surfaces, flame markings, and traditional firing techniques that cannot be replicated in electric kilns.

Inspired by traditional wood firing and contemporary ceramic practice, Jean Yeung’s work explores the quiet relationship between fire, clay, ash, and time. Each piece is handbuilt in Canada and wood-fired in Jingdezhen, China, creating one-of-a-kind surfaces shaped naturally by flame, ash, and kiln atmosphere.
This project continues the artistic direction developed through Jean Yeung’s ceramic exhibitions and ongoing exploration of traditional firing techniques, material texture, and wabi-sabi aesthetics.
